Last Blood Live Action
A new trailer has been released for the live action adaptation of Blood: The Last Vampire. If you’re unfamiliar with the anime series, Blood tells the story of Saya, a youthful appearing, vampire-human hybrid who lives to hunt down other vampires. I’ve seen at least two different variants of the story, one in manga form and the anime series Blood+, which was seemed more of a retelling or reboot of the original story. Whichever version of the story they use, I’m really looking forward to this.
The movie will star Korean actress Jeon Ji-hyun who does an impressive job of speaking English in the film. Honestly, Jeon Ji-hyun isn’t who comes to mind when I think of think of the main character Saya. Ji-hyun is almost too pretty to play the titular role. However, I don’t doubt that she’ll be fun to watch nonetheless. The film is set for a European release in June of this year, but may not premier in the United States in 2009.
