Terminator ending redone

So if you’ve been paying attention to spoilers on the Internet, there’s been significant leaks about about the ending of new Terminator Salvation movie. The big reveal from the movie was supposed to be that John Connor (Christian Bale’s character) dies and that Marcus, the good terminator, takes up the mantle of John Connor and fights on behalf of humans, realizing that John Connor’s death would be a crushing blow.
Well that ending isn’t going to be the one used. According to Movie Hole, a new ending for the movie was shot because of the Internet leaks. The new ending is supposedly 180 degrees different (whatever that means) from the leaked ending and has supposedly tested better with audiences. I’m sure that will launch a new round of speculation about what the new reveal for the movie will be.
I’m looking forward to this movie a little more now since my imagination is now running wild with potential endings.

Last Blood Live Action
A new trailer has been released for the live action adaptation of Blood: The Last Vampire. If you’re unfamiliar with the anime series, Blood tells the story of Saya, a youthful appearing, vampire-human hybrid who lives to hunt down other vampires. I’ve seen at least two different variants of the story, one in manga form and the anime series Blood+, which was seemed more of a retelling or reboot of the original story. Whichever version of the story they use, I’m really looking forward to this.
The movie will star Korean actress Jeon Ji-hyun who does an impressive job of speaking English in the film. Honestly, Jeon Ji-hyun isn’t who comes to mind when I think of think of the main character Saya. Ji-hyun is almost too pretty to play the titular role. However, I don’t doubt that she’ll be fun to watch nonetheless. The film is set for a European release in June of this year, but may not premier in the United States in 2009.

Watchmen movie reviewed
So I’ve just come back from a midnight viewing of the Watchmen. I sat through 2 hours and 40 minutes wondering why the film couldn’t be a little shorter. It doesn’t mean I didn’t like the film; I did. However, as someone who isn’t familiar with the original work, the plot was complicated and somewhat overwhelming. It’s the same sort of feeling that you get when you’re offered an extremely expensive and well regarded red wine. You sip it, it swirls around your mouth and you feel somewhat badly that you aren’t immediately impressed by it. You want to like it more, but your own inexperience lets you down. Read more
Critics bash Street Fighter movie
Initial reviews of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li have come out, and as expected, they are scathing. It’s understandable why the film producers decided not to pre screen this movie for critics. The reviews are probably what they expected: universally bad. Read more
New Dragonball movie screens

So new promotional stills from Dragonball: Evolution has been released for public consumption. Go find them here and here if you want to see the full set. I’m still completely uninterested in seeing the movie except as a video rental. That’s kind of odd for me, because I’m usually a sucker for any sci-fi, fantasy film. But this movie has fail written all over it. Yes, I’m getting ahead of myself. Yes, I reserve to change my mind if somehow the movie blows away expectations.
Selected stills are below. I just picked some of the ones with the attractive female stars. I noticed that all of the women are wearing spandex and tops revealing a lot of cleavage. Well, I guess that’s one way to attract an audience. Read more
No Street Fighter for critics
Ha! I knew it. According to Variety, film critics will not get an advance screening of Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li.. That’s usually not a good sign for a film, and pretty much indicates that the production company expects that critics will be unkind to the film. It’s not as if a lot of people didn’t see this coming. Read more
‘The Rock’ cast as Race Bannon

Just for a second go back to your childhood and try to remember Race Bannon in the old cartoon series Johnny Quest. I realize that many of you probably weren’t even born when Johnny was airing, but you probably at least caught a glimpse of that cartoon in Boomerang on the Cartoon Network or even snippets on Adult Swim. Now picture Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as Race. Do you think it would work? Well you better get used to it, because ‘The Rock’ himself has confirmed he’s been cast as Dr. Quest’s bodyguard in the upcoming Johnny Quest film. Read more
GI Joe trailer - not impressed

So a new trailer for GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra has just been released in time for the Super Bowl. I’m impressed they’re going for the Zerg marketing blitz and spending so much in airing in what has to be a really expensive commercial time block. Anyways, I’ve seen the trailer, and it still doesn’t change my original opinion on the movie: it’s going to suck. I died a little bit inside when I saw Marlon Wayans in the movie. Sienna Miller as the Baroness looks good. In fact, that’s the hottest I’ve ever seen her look. It seems the extra padding they gave her to give her bosom (in interviews, she admits to it) a little more oomph is working…the oomph is impressive in the trailer. But beyond that, that’s all the movie has going for it.
I’m a sucker for sci-fi so I’ll probably go see this movie anyway, but my expectations are low…I mean trench in the Atlantic Ocean low. Anyways, here’s the clip. Judge for yourself.
Gays in Johnny Quest?

So recently I heard that Hollywood is going to make a feature film based on the 1960s cartoon, Johnny Quest. For some of you in your late 20s to 30s, you may be familiar with this cartoon. For anyone younger, it may be completely unfamiliar to you unless you’ve caught reruns on the Cartoon Network or snippets on Adult Swim.
Johnny Quest is about a boy, Johnny, who has adventures with his scientist father, Dr. Quest, Dr. Quest’s bodyguard Race Bannon, and his best friend, Hadji, an Indian boy. Typically, most adventures involve Johnny, who uncovers some nefarious activity as he tags along with his father. Johnny and his father mostly debunk the creatures they encounter as fakes using his father’s superior knowledge of science, but occasionally they run into real monsters, and that’s where Race has to muscle them. It’s a generally entertaining cartoon, but the cartoon’s subject matter isn’t what raises my eyebrows.
