Kama Sutra for Nintendo DS?

So a French developer recently released a digital version of the Kama Sutra, the famed Indian manual of sexual positions, as a homebrew application for the Nintendo DS. The Kama Sutra isn’t pornography and you can find a copy at just about any library. I think even minors can have access to it. Copies of the book, unless they’re an updated “modern” version which substitute the original Indian art with more realistic photographs, is more graphic due to its written text on sexual advice than its imagery.
Still having a copy of the book on the Nintendo DS does give me pause. The DS is definitely targeted for a younger gaming audience (think ages 8 - 14), though older users do buy the game player too. I suppose it isn’t the worst thing to have some sort of sexual advice manual available on the DS. It may actually help some youngsters if they were curious about something. You can certainly find far worse things on the Internet if you were inclined to look for it.
Just to clarify, this is a homebrew application and not sponsored by Nintendo in anyway.

Korea can’t win against Nintendo
South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak recently caused a row in his country when he wondered out loud why Korea couldn’t make a Nintendo DS-like console of their own. “A lot of our elementary school children have Nintendo game machines,” the president told senior policymakers, “Why can’t our companies develop products like that?”

Korean electronics giants Samsung and LG haven’t thought about becoming the next Nintendo recently. Both companies were forced into an early exit from the console market after failing to compete with their Japanese rivals in foreign markets, and the lack of game software in domestic market. Onechanbara: a new low?

Game publisher D3 recently reaffirmed the release of two titles, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers and Onechanbara: The Bikini Squad. T&A game titles aren’t anything new, but in a surprising development D3 announced that these titles are for the Nintendo Wii game console.
This announcement seems to be somewhat at odds to the console maker’s marketing campaign targeting casual gamers, women and families. Nintendo Wii’s best selling games are the Wii Fit and games from the Mario Brother’s franchise. A title where you take on the role of a bikini-clad, zombie killing, katana weilding female protagonist tends to stick out like a sore thumb. Is this an intentional strategy to market against type or has Nintendo just missed the boat on this one? Read more
